How do Indian courier aggregators (Shiprocket, Delhivery) calculate weight?
Couriers take physical dead weight (on scale) and volumetric weight ((L × W × H) / 5000). Whichever is higher becomes the chargeable weight. This chargeable weight is then rounded up to the next slab (typically 500g increments).
What is the "7-Day Dispute Window"?
Under standard Indian 3PL aggregator agreements, merchants have exactly 7 calendar days from invoice generation to raise weight disputes. After 7 days, couriers freeze the weight and auto-debit your wallet balance.
How can I dispute weight discrepancies effectively?
